Primary Care Residency Supervisor and Associate Clinical Professor
Overview
Dr. Susan P. Schuettenberg is an associate clinical professor in the Clinical Education department here at SUNY Optometry. She is the course coordinator for the first year Integrative Seminar, in addition to teaching in the Clinical Optometry laboratories and the Primary Care clinic. She is also the supervisor for the Primary Eye Care Residency, and has been on staff for the past 28 years. Dr. Schuettenberg received her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY Optometry in 1989 and completed a residency in hospital-based Optometry at the St. Albans VA Extended Care Center in 1990. Dr. Schuettenberg is the 2011 recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
