Social Work Services

The Social Work Department assists UEC patients in a variety of ways, including:

• Completing needs assessment with patients to understand patient needs and to provide referral
• Providing patients with referrals to community resources
• Collaborating with optometrists and medical providers or educational services
• Providing patients and family members with support services, including referrals for counseling
• Offering support groups for the UEC community for: those with brain injuries, those with vision loss, and caregivers/loved one
• Offering periodic workshops for the UEC community and the public
