Bio

Dr. Shelby Leach received her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of California, Berkeley in 2017. Upon graduation, she completed a residency at UC Berkeley in Pediatrics/Primary Care, where she received advanced training in pediatrics, infant vision, children with disabilities, primary care, and myopia management. Dr. Leach joined SUNY College of Optometry faculty in July of 2018. She currently supervises third and fourth years in the Primary Care Pediatrics, Infant Vision Care, Children with Special Needs, and Myopia Management clinics. Dr. Leach serves as the co-Instructor of Record of the Advanced Topics in Pediatric Ocular Disease elective. In addition to clinical and didactic responsibilities, Dr. Leach participates as a masked examiner for PEDIG clinical research studies. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and current President of the SUNYCO Local Society.
