Vision Rehabilitation

Covering many areas such as eye teaming, low vision, sports vision, learning disabilities, and head trauma, vision rehabilitation aims to improve visual efficiency and function. Vision rehabilitation begins with a comprehensive eye examination including specific evaluations for visual efficiency and visual function followed by an individualized treatment plan to address the specific condition or desired outcome as well as on-going re-evaluation.

Vision problems and concerns may stem from neurological conditions, disease, trauma, or a desire to enhance skills for a specific outcome. Therapies may include exercises to optimize visual function, assistive devices to support activities of daily living, counseling for social determinants of health, creating a care-team including other healthcare providers and or caregivers, among others.
